2011 Cabernet Sauvignon

2011 Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting Notes

Elegant and approachable, this Cabernet Sauvignon immediately entices you with aromatics of black cherry and vanilla cola. These notes carry over to the palate and are met with hints of blue and black berries, enhanced by rich elements of cloves, coffee and cocoa. The soft, supple tannins of this wine melt into a long and lingering finish, leaving you eager for more.

The Year

From beginning to end, this was a cool year. The Walla Walla Valley experienced no 100° days for the first time in well over a decade. Despite the cooler weather, our vineyards were still able to reach full ripening, with harvest occurring approximately three weeks late. The longer hang time led to layered, nuanced flavors with vibrancy and natural balance.
