Trademark notes of blackberry and brambles welcome us back in the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon. Raw vanilla, carob, and anise bring a richness to the nose of this wine. The palate is abundant with dark black fruit and spice. Thyme and sage make an appearance and lead to a muscular finish.
The 2018 harvest kicked off with a nice even spring. July brought in hotter temperatures, as well as some smoke from surrounding fires. But by the second week of August, the weather cooled off considerably to usher in one of the most ideal ripening seasons in recent history. September brought beautiful, mild weather, offering the fruit several extra weeks to hang during long, sun-filled fall days. Harvest was wrapped up on October 15th producing wines that are balanced with great fruit expression. A harvest to remember, indeed!

“Fresh and focused, with outstanding structure… a stunning new wine with great aging potential. A massive wall of dark fruits, espresso bean and scorched earth undercurrents is held together by firm tannins. Glorious now, this has at least another 15 years in front of it.”
